Surprise!

It was a complete surprise when Ally started feeling even better today and they said she could go home!!!!!! They unhooked all of the tubes and took her off the morphine to see if she would go back to having pain. She was fine! One good thing about the mouth...it heals quickly. The mouth cells are quick dividing cells. This is why they take such a beating with the chemo (it goes after all quick dividing cells, mainly the cancer) On that same regard, they have healed up nicely. She proved to them that she would eat, and at about 7pm she walked back into our house with a huge greeting from her brother and sister.

After 13 days of having a tube coming out of her chest she is free! No more backpacks of fluid, no more IV poles, no IV in the hand, and hopefully not up all night going to the bathroom. She is free and laying in the comfort of her own bed.

Rest well my dear girl. Rest well.
