Christmas Eve

Yep it happened. Ally is in the hospital on Christmas. Got a fever at 4pm on Christmas Eve and I knew right away my nightmare was coming true. I took her a tree and her Christmas jammies. I don't even know what to say. Just sad.

  6. We are so sorry to hear that. Madden said if she could ask Santa for one thing it would be for Ally to get better. She saw Santa a few days ago and has each morning wanted me to check the blog to see if she was feeling better from the steroids. She also lit a candle for her at church last night and said a prayer that she gets better.

  7. so sorry to hear that....I know you are sad and I wish I could say something that would lift your spirits but I know there aren't words to do that. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be.

  8. Janel, this probably won't help one bit, but in the span of your life and Ally's, it will fade from memory. Major illness seems to know no holiday, I did a Christmas Eve and Christmas day sitting by in the ICU, thinking it was the last, and yet he recovered, and lived another full year. That next New Years Eve, it was an ambulance again, and that time, it was the last. I had forgotten the missed Christmas until reading today. So I can speak with experience. Please remember you and Jared are my heros, watching you care for your child has put a whole new view on issues with a problem young adult for me. I think that love IS the answer. You are teaching so much to so many....I wish I could have given you my day to enjoy, I am comfortable there would be another. But it doesn't work that way. My prayers and good thoughts are with you.
